Sidekick is the AI commerce assistant built into the Shopify admin. Click the purple glasses icon from any admin page and ask for what you need in everyday language: product descriptions, discounts, customer segments, reports, store design help, even custom apps. It is included with your Shopify plan, with features and usage limits varying by plan.

No. Sidekick is included with Shopify plans, though features and usage limits vary by plan. Every exercise in the course works from the standard admin, on desktop or the mobile app, and Sidekick respects your staff permissions.
The AI Academy path teaches general-purpose AI (Claude and Google AI) you point at any work. This specialty course goes deep on one tool: the assistant already sitting inside your Shopify admin.
